Here is my post for Sky Watch Friday

High flying Buzzard in a Blue Sky

Another shot of him in another part of the Sky.

Buzzards are not the most beautiful of birds I know, but I like to watch them soar effortlessly riding the air currents and updrafts from the mountains here.

Buzzards can soar for hours upon end by riding the air currents, catching updrafts, and soaring high up into the sky until they become mere dots in the sky.

Beautiful blue skies!
The buzzard may not be as handsome as the eagle but he sure does soar just as beautifully.

The massive curves and graceful banking as they ride the currents is mesmerising to me too. Nice shots of a difficult subject.

The buzzard may not be the most beautiful bird, but he does his job very well. Thanks for sharing. Love those blue skies.

Oh, yes, I agree with the others! The buzzard may not be/isn't as beautiful as the eagle, but when he soars in the sky who cares about the difference, they both enjoy a freedom that we're unlikely to know or enjoy in this life! Fantastic shots!

Have a great weekend!

Hawk riding the wawes of sky. A cloud surfer if you will. Your heritage makes this somwhut spiritual to my eye. Message bringer of som sort, perhaps?

EB: That was a great sky to catch the buzzard as it soared on high.

Great pictures of a great sky. The buzzard does what he is supposed to do and does it well. We could learn not to be so concerned about how we look but how we perform.
Thanks for your posting and your visit.

They do fly beautifully tho I don't particularly like their heads close up (if they're turkey buzzards). You gourd art is fantastic!

They look so darn peaceful, don't they? Great catch!

Lovely where you are ! I like to watch buzzards and crows, they both look as if they're having fun playing soaring games up there.

Beautiful photos - who doens't love to see any of the big soaring birds do their thing! I think your buzzard is what I'm used to calling a turkey vulture? They're a real favorite of mine.

I got a shot of one this week, too. No clouds in mine, and that makes all the difference. Great shots.

Buzzards are fun to watch in the sky, but turkey vultures, for one, are truly ugly! The sky is nice!

They may not be classically pretty, but they have a beauty all their own, especially in flight.

They are majestic as they soar through the sky with their masive wingspan... just not the prettiest. Great shots!
