Sky Watch Friday Odd Clouds

Thank you to our sponsors of Sky Watch Friday for all their efforts to show us skies from all over the world, to participate and or view other posts, click on the Logo Above.

My post for today shows some strange clouds that were in the West early on in the evening and then developed into another wonderous Sunset.

Notice the Funnel shaped clouds up in the break in the clouds

Fantastic colours in your sky this week, a funnel shape in the clouds would be sure to spark a bit of interest. Thanks for sharing with sky watch Friday.

Great captures. I love the third and the fifth especially with all that golden light.

I've never seen a funnel cloud, does it signify anything dangerous?

I have no idea what those funnel shaped clouds mean here in the NC Mountains..but when I lived in Ohio..I did see a few first hand on the ground..they were tornados.
We never get tornados here in the mountains or Hurriacanes.

Those are spectacular skies. Haven't had anything like that in Ohio for awhile.. Thanks for the post

Great skies especially the sunset photos. You wrote that you try to walk "the Red Road". Can you explain to me what that is? How many tribes are there still left?

It's a beautiful sunset. I didn't know it was possible to have a funnel cloud that wasn't a tornado. I learn so much from skywatch.

Dear Eaglesbrother,
I love the eastern sky , it is so unusual to have a fabulous sunset all round. I love your name, somehow, when I see it I get tears in my eyes. I myself am a sister to the grey timber wolf although I am banished to this country that only has a few in zoos which breaks my heart.

Happy Chritmas or whatever you celebrate at this time of yeal

Regards, Arija.
