Sky Watch Friday

Thank you once again Sky Watch Team for bringing us skies from around the World for our viewing pleasure.

To view skies or to participate..just click on the Logo above.

We recently had a trip to Pa. and while there had a couple of down days from business..so we went down to the Conowingo Dam in Md. to take some pictures of Eagles there...we arrived early and got a chance to photograph some of the Sunrise at the Dam.

Click on images to enlarge for a better view.

The Dam at beginning of Sunrise

Off in the distance...sunrise around the power lines

Power Towers surround the area

We didn't know it..but the Eagles don't usually arrive till around 9 AM or 10 AM so we just waited and watched the Gulls fishing in the water.

You can also skip on down to the two posts below to view some of the Eagles that we photographed.

Wonderful captures of the sunrise at Conowinog. Conowingo is not too far from me. I love watching the eagles there, this is also the time of years for the gulls to visit Conowingo.

Great photos from your trip, the colors are fabulous. Spotting how birds adapt to different environments can be really interesting. Always blows me away when out in the country side ambling around a corner accidently bumping into eagles that are really very huge up close.

I like your Indian music. Jack and I lived in Arizona for five years and have been to the Chirachua stronghold there. In Bowie, AZ there is still the mud jail where captured Geronimo spent the night. That's in Cochise County----the county wounded Rep. Giffords represents. Have a good day. I will have to go back and check out your blog more thoroughtly this weekend.

I love the purple colored skies. Great photographs. I also like that you weren't afraid to include the power lines and towers. That's part of what we have to look at.
