My goodness - sky afire! The funnel cloud is fascinating.
Great captures of interesting skies.
I have no idea what those funnel shaped clouds mean here in the NC Mountains..but when I lived in Ohio..I did see a few first hand on the ground..they were tornados.
We never get tornados here in the mountains or Hurriacanes.
Those are spectacular skies. Haven't had anything like that in Ohio for awhile.. Thanks for the post

It's a beautiful sunset. I didn't know it was possible to have a funnel cloud that wasn't a tornado. I learn so much from skywatch.

Dear Eaglesbrother,
I love the eastern sky , it is so unusual to have a fabulous sunset all round. I love your name, somehow, when I see it I get tears in my eyes. I myself am a sister to the grey timber wolf although I am banished to this country that only has a few in zoos which breaks my heart.
Happy Chritmas or whatever you celebrate at this time of yeal
Regards, Arija.
Funnel shaped clouds looks like a snake invasion in the sky to me. Yike! Nice job on the images. Merry Christmas!
