New Mahogany Flutes
This flute is tuned to the Key of G.
This next flute is also made of Mahogany and I carved an Eagle Head for the Block (Bird) out of Aromatic Red Cedar, a very detailed carving.
Sky Watch Friday Nov.20
Here is my posting for Sky Watch Friday Nov. 20, Although the photographs were taken on Nov. 19 early morning sunrise.
After Two days or rainy skies the sun is beginning to rise and the clouds are rolling off to the North East as we anticipate partly cloudy afternoon skies here in the mountains of NC.

Sky Watch Friday- Nov 9 Sunrise
To view other posts or to participate please click on the Logo above.
Here is my post for Friday, a very quick sunrise on Nov. 9 just before a rain front moved in and it rained for Three days so I had to be quick to catch it before the clouds took over and the rain started. Please excuse some of the graininess of the photos because I was in a hurry and didn't check the viewing screen from shooting on manual so they are a bit underexposed on some.

Ceremonial Peyote Gourd Rattle # 109
The overall length is 15 1/2 inches long plus (12) twisted Buckskin Fringes of 9 1/2 inches long each.
There are about 3200 12/0 glass seed beads that I beaded on...one bead at a time...so it took many days of work on just the beading..about a month total.
The Gourd part contains Ant Hill Garnet chips and other small pebbles from the Ant Hills because it is to be used for Ceremony.
I drew on and wood burned into the gourd an Eagle which is split with beading around the gourd.
